We use quality western style tack from Simco-Longhorn, Circle Y, Weaver & Reinsman.  Western tack seems to be the most suitable for the terrain we ride.   We take pride in our farm, our horses and our equipment.  Our horses belong to us and most of them have been with us for many years.  Susanne is a certified instructor with over 25 years experience.  She will accompany all of our guests on the trail.  She knows the horses and the trails that will best suit your ability. She will take you where you will have the best chance to see wildlife and enjoy the natural beauty of the Withlacoochee State Forest.  You will be given as much or as little instuction as you want.  Your safety & comfort, as well as the well being of our horses, is our prime concern.   Take a moment to read the  Testimonials page.  We are sure you will see why we believe Lady Hawk Farm is the best place to ride a horse in Florida.

Our horses are the centerpiece of the farm.  Each one has its own personality; its own set of likes and dislikes.  All are well trained and well mannered.  We have horses of different breeds and sizes.  You will easily find one to suit your style and expertise.  This will not be a nose to tail walk-in-line trail ride. Your knowledgeable guide will be there with you every step of the trail.  You may experience the thrill of a herd of deer suddenly appearing and running across your path.  You'll have to go up and down into steep gullies.  Occasionally you may have to cross water.  You will have an opportunity to form a relationship with your horse that makes the horse feel safe under your control.  This will be a rewarding learning experience.  We encourage each rider to sample as many different horses as they like.  You can learn alot about riding that way. We practice natural horsemanship and do not use fear and pain to control our horses.  Instead, we build trust and respect between horse and rider.
